D.A.R.E.

Mason graduated from D.A.R.E. yesterday! Can you believe he is already at that age?? Scott and I had fun reminiscing our DARE graduation. It's funny because we were at the same school and didn't even know each other then. But we both remember singing Mariah Carey's "Hero" to Officer Mike. Funny the little things you remember! I even remember the embarrassing tryouts so we could get a solo of it, haha, needless to say I didn't get the part... It was neat to see Mason experience the same program that we participated in! And anything to keep kids off drugs is A-OK to me! The County Judge, County D.A., and Sheriff were all there to speak to them and shake their hands. It was a nice program! I was sad to hear from the sheriff that our city district doesn't even participate in the program, and they are the ones that seriously NEED it. Another reason I am SO THANKFUL for the wonderful school he is able to attend!
