4th of July!

We had a fun Fourth! We went to lunch at McDonald's with Amy and her kids to let the kids play and Avery had a blast. And indoor play areas are MUCH more enjoyable for mom and dad when it's 110 outside! We then made plans with them to go to Utopia to watch the fireworks, they are supposed to be amazing for a tiny tiny town. Scott and I ran to the store to pick up some snacks and headed over to the Williams. They had been invited by a friend to a ranch up in Concan to go swimming so we headed there before the fireworks to swim and BBQ. Avery was in heaven! It was an amazing property in beautiful Hill Country with a pool and it was right on the river. The older kids had a blast jumping into the river off the swing, it was fun! They also had a zip line! Not long after we got there though the friend's whose house we were at little boy cut his chin open on the pool pretty badly and it needed stitches, yikes! So Brady and Scott took him back to Brady's to sew him up while Amy and I stayed with the kids. They didn't make it back in time for us to go to the fireworks(it's 30 minutes to Concan and probably another 45 to Utopia from where we were). I don't think the kids were too disappointed in missing them though, we were there in the pool til after 10 and Mason stayed with the Williams til after 11! Surprising Avery stayed awake the whole 30 minute drive home even after swimming for hours, but probably only because Livy was screaming the whole way, poor babe. She had had enough and as soon as we were home I layed her on my bed and she was as content as she could be!

I'm mad I didn't get pictures of all 3 kids together, I planned to at the fireworks but we never went and by then the kids were in swimsuits and wet and hot(it said 111 in our car on the way there!!). Livy was not having the morning photo shoot as well if you can't tell, haha!
