It was our last day and we had planned on going to Six Flags since we have season passes and Avery wanted to see the Wiggles, but it took us 20 minutes just to get through the gate and the parking lot was already packed so we decided to head to the zoo! It was hot out but figured we could manage a few hours! And oh man was it HOT! We were sweaty as soon as we got out of the car but were determined to have fun! We bought one of those fan spray bottles and Avery loved playing with it, but Livy didn't love her spraying her face with it, lol. We walked around and saw lots of animals and there was a fun kiddie area with a river and beach for the little kids to swim in but since we didn't have her suit we skipped it but it looked like fun! Avery didn't really want to walk a lot since it was so hot and she couldn't really see any animals unless we lifted her up but it was fun anyways. We walked around as long as we could stand it and Livy started to get fussy because she was so hot, poor baby! I hate the humidity and how the condensation just covers your whole body, so gross! We stayed about 2 hours then headed back up north and went to eat at Red Robin's. We went and did some shopping, stopped for Coldstone and headed home from our fabulous trip! It was just great to spend time together, too bad Mason wasn't with us but I'm sure he is having tons of fun in Colorado with grandma and grandpa! They are headed to Utah this weekend and then to California as well, should be tons of fun! Sunday, July 19, 2009
